It’s been a busy two days seeing a good variety of acts at the 7 sessions event auditions (1), a gig by BIMM tutors in Camden (2) and the weekly durell jam night in Fulham.
Here are some of the highlights:
The 7 sessions auditions– The first audition revealed a 10-piece band made up of 5 vocalists, 2 guitarists, a drummer, keys and bass player. It was great to see such a large band work together seemlessly!
Carl-Philip Olander – a Swedish vocalist and musician definitely impressed with his original tracks. Not only does he have a unquestionably interesting voice but he is also a very talent guitarist. His folk/indie style is comparable to Mumford and Sons, Passenger and Ben Howard all in one. David Laudat – A BIMM vocal tutor, as well as an established singer, songwriter, producer and vocal coach, performed at the the Lock 17, Camden gig showing off his silky smooth vocals. What a show!
